A hospital comedy that avoids all things medical, Green Wing turns the spotlight on the human interactions, behavioral quirks and social observations of a group of medics who staff the most bizarre hospital ward on television.

This genre-defying comedy continues to prove that filming in a hospital doesn't have to involve any reference to medical issues. Part surreal soap, part comedy drama. Tamsin Greig is the idiosyncratic Dr. Caroline Todd; Julian Rhind-Tutt, the fop-haired, wise-cracking heartthrob Dr MaCartney; Steve Mangan the lustful love god Guy Secretan; Mark Heap the stammering, neurotic Statham; Pippa Haywood the tyrannical, age-obsessed Joanna Clore; Michelle Gomez the terrifyingly unpredictable staff liaison officer Sue White; Karl Theobald the endearing failure Martin Dear; and Oliver Chris, Dr Statham's nemesis student, Boyce.

The series boasts a collection of award-winning writers: Victoria Pile, Robert Harley, James Henry, Stuart Kenworthy, Oriane Messina and Fay Rusling, Richard Preddy and Gary Howe.

The Definitive Green Wing collectors edition 8 disc DVD is out on 15th October. Not only that, but some of the GW cast members will be signing copies at Virgin Piccadilly at 5.30 on 15th October - confirmed attendees so far are Oli Chris, Stephen Mangan, Karl Theobald and Mark Heap.

For the first time ever, 4DVD brings together every single episode of BAFTA award-winning Channel 4 comedy show Green Wing in a definitive collectors’ edition, available from Monday 15th October. The hugely anticipated 8-disc box set, containing series 1 & 2, the one-off Green Wing Special and a bonus disc of previously unseen material, is a must for all comedy fans and the ultimate addition to any DVD collection.

The bonus disc of exclusive material includes a specially filmed documentary Green Wing – The Phenomenon, previously unseen deleted scenes, music tracks, and a 32-page Green Wing booklet – making this a truly heavyweight comedy release from 4DVD.

1. The first clip is from the deleted scenes (series 2) and shows Boyce playing a very bizarre prank on Dr Statham: LOW MED HIGH

Also, the BAFTA nominated and RTS award winning Green Wing soundtrack by Trelis (Jonathan Whitehead - Black Books, Smack the Pony, Brass Eye and many more classic comedy soundtracks) is now out.

Now you can walk veryveryveryvery fast to your own GW background music (or any other high-larious scene that takes your fancy) and it's great to finally have all the background music together in this excellent album. This will be a great addition to any fan's CD rack, the mad liner notes about each track are worth the RRP alone!
