Faith, in Buffy's body (Fake Buffy), tarts herself right up while
Buffy in Faith's body (Real Buffy) is forcibly taken from the police by the
Council chaps.
Fake
Buffy promises to patrol for Adam, instead grooving at the Bronze, flirting
with Spike and being mean to Tara. Adam has found a vampire nest, and decides
to talk to them. Fake Buffy learns about Riley, and attempts to 'use' him,
Faith style. They sleep together, but she gets freaked out by his love for
Buffy. Tara tells Willow that Buffy wasn't Buffy - her energy was fragmented.
They cast a spell to find out for sure. Real Buffy escapes the Council (who had
been ordered to kill her), and goes to Giles', convincing him of her true
identity. Fake Buffy is at the bus station, about to scarper, when she and Real
Buffy both see the same TV news report about Adam and some vamps holed up in a
church with hostages. Fake Buffy storms in alone (typical Faith...) and kicks
arse. These vamps are no longer afraid of church, thanks to Adam. Real Buffy
enters, the Slayers fight, and swap bodies again. Faith flees. Later, Buffy
realises that Riley slept with Faith. Sort of.
Review:
Ah, Joss. Welcome back. We missed you. Faith undergoes a change of heart during
this episode, thanks to living in Buffy's shoes. But has she learned anything
about the true values of friendship, and love? Is she irredeemably evil? Will
we ever find out? Hmmm...
Best line:
Spike: "You know why I really hate you, Summers?"
Fake Buffy: "'Cause I'm a stuck-up tight-ass with no sense of fun?"
Spike: "Well, yeah, that covers a lot of it."
Fake Buffy: "'Cause I could do anything I want, and instead, I choose to
pout and whine and feel the burden of Slayerness? I mean, I could be rich, I
could be famous, I could have anything. Anyone." (she moves closer
to him and puts her hand on his chest.) "Even you, Spike. I could ride you
at a gallop until your legs buckled and your eyes rolled up. I've got muscles
you've never even dreamed of. I could squeeze you until you popped like warm
champagne, and you'd beg me to hurt you just a little bit more. And you know
why I don't?" (She moves closer and looks up at him, pursing her lips.)
"Because it's wrong."

Trivia:
Each Sunday Riley kits up in a lovely suit and heads off to church, doing
nothing to dispell his image as a whitebread farmboy from Iowa.
