Spike plans his return, as he watches Buffy. His soliloquy is rudely
interrupted by those Special Forces military men zapping him with a taser.
Buffy
is excelling in Prof Walsh's Psych class, and Willow is briefly jealous. Her
jealousy is not so short-lived when Oz appears to be getting a little too
chummy with Veruca. Wolf Oz breaks out if his cage and TWO werewolves attack
Walsh, then each other. Oz awakes, naked, next to an equally naked Veruca. She
revels in her inner wolf, and refuses to deny it as Oz does. He manages to
persuade her to share his cage (for safety), and their animal attraction is
consummated. Willow finds them, again naked, the next morning. She nearly casts
a revenge spell to break Oz's heart, but can't do it. She's attacked by a
'changing' Veruca, who is in turn attacked and killed by Oz. He decides to
leave Sunnydale indefinitely to sort his head out.
Review:
Seth Green needed to be written out of the show, so he could concentrate on
movies. His character's Lycanthropy was an obvious method, but Oz's
relationship with Veruca is too close to that of Buffy and Faith's for comfort.
And Veruca is just one 'c' away from being a foot fungus, which isn't very
sexy.
Best line:
Willow: "Oz, tell me you love me?"
Oz: "My whole life, I've never loved anything else."

Trivia:
This was Willow’s spell: I conjure thee, by Borabis, by Satanis, and the Devil.
As thou art burning, let Oz and Veruca's deceitful hearts be broken. I conjure
thee, by the Saracen Queen, in the name of hell. Let them find no love or solace;
Let them find no peace as well. Let this image seal this fate, Not to love,
only hate.
